What a better way to start off 2018, than finally get around to publishing some of the shoots that have been sitting on my laptop for months now! I have really been neglecting my blog. I’m thinking I’ll have to rethink how I go about keeping up with my blog, because between a corporate job, being a mum and partner, this is always last on my list. And that’s a bit of a shame, as I get so much joy out of producing shoots and getting up at ungodly hours to shoot them.
But for now, here’s a shoot I done back in October for the autumn/winter trends. The emphasis is on block colour and focusing on the basic colours, such as green, blue, yellow and so on. I’ve been meaning to shoot at the Royal National Theatre, or National Theatre at the South Bank for ages, but thankfully locations like this don’t change so easily, so I was able to finally do my shoot there three years later. 🙂
For such a concrete location, with the sharp lines and Brutalist architecture, you really need colour or something special to stand out from all the grey, and so in a way the colour shoot was kinda perfect here. I also wanted to add an extra element with these lens flares and colour overlays to add a bit of a nightlife feel to the outfits.
So, this is the first of the series of shoots I done at the Royal National Theatre, but because there ended up being so many great shots, I thought it best to split them up into separate posts and this is the blue shoot. Enjoy. 🙂
