by thefashionnomadupdated on 16, April, 202017, April, 20201 Comment on Shop the Look: Pink and Blue

Pink and Blue are such a fantastic bright colour combination. They are perfectly suited for spring, when we start to see pink cherry blossoms against bright blue skies. It’s also my favourite colour combination for spring this year. The amount of blue and pink heels I have should be a …

Step into the utility trend with this combination of khaki colours, linen fabrics and the delicate features of broderie detailing. Utility doesn’t just have to be tough and masculine; adding some classic whites and stitching make this trend accessible to everyone. For the second outfit of this shoot, I wanted …

The Shoot: Royal National Theatre – Yellows

by thefashionnomadupdated on 3, January, 20186, January, 20181 Comment on The Shoot: Royal National Theatre – Yellows

The final of the series on the Royal National Theatre is by far the best and my favourite and that’s why I kept it for last. There was something so simple and brilliant with the backdrop, the outfit and the poses that this shoot really didn’t need any re-colouring or …

The Shoot: Royal National Theatre – Greens

by thefashionnomadupdated on 2, January, 20183, January, 2018Leave a Comment on The Shoot: Royal National Theatre – Greens

This is the second of the Royal National Theatre shoot, this time the focus is on the green outfit. I thought it would work best against these red painted staircases that can be found throughout the South Bank complex, because not only are they striking in themselves, but the green …

The Accessories Shoot: Embroidered Luxe

by thefashionnomadupdated on 14, September, 20188, September, 2016Leave a Comment on The Accessories Shoot: Embroidered Luxe

Embroidery is undoubtedly the detailing of the season. While it’s always been a popular choice for jazzing up an outfit, bag or even pair of shoes, this season it is found everywhere on the catwalks and the high street. Everything from denim jackets to strappy sandals have embroidery on it …

The Shoot: The Barbican Centre

by thefashionnomadupdated on 14, September, 20183, September, 20162 Comments on The Shoot: The Barbican Centre

Embrace your inner nineties child in this season’s puffa jackets in an array of bright colours, with touches of velvet, metallics and statement over-the-knee boots.  For the first shoot of this year’s The September Issue, we went with something a bit different for the shoot. I’m not one to usually …

The Shoot: Heather Queen

by thefashionnomadon 11, June, 201611, June, 2016Leave a Comment on The Shoot: Heather Queen

This shoot was born from an idea I had when I first went back to Richmond Park to do the Prairie Girl shoot at the end of April. I was checking on the status of the Azalea flowers in Isabella Plantation, and on my way through the little fenced off …

The Shoot: 3 Mill Lane

by thefashionnomadupdated on 14, September, 201819, September, 20154 Comments on The Shoot: 3 Mill Lane

Take on this season’s austere trends on the cobbled streets of 3 Mill Lane, as we showcase high necklines and avant-garde tailoring with a touch of the Old Masters style. I am generally not a fan of the monochrome look; I like my bright colours and prints far too much, …
