The Shoot

The Shoot: Summertime Sadness

Hello world,

Today’s shoot is all about me dreaming for summer days, hence the name. The sun is finally back, and it’s got me dreaming of hot days spent lying next to a pool and eating summer fruits. With the start of April, we’re also getting the first of the summer pieces hitting the shops, and that is very exciting too. I spotted this blazer and shorts combination in Primark the other day and I was just itching to create an outfit out of this.

I’m loving the bold orange and pinks in the fabric and the cheetah print. Together they make such a strong statement, and I thought why not pair it with another strong colour, like blue.

IMG_8647I absolutely love this shot of me skipping. It actually wasn’t the hardest thing to shoot, surprisingly, and it was actually the best way to showcase my bag. Plus, not to sound too smug, but my legs look fabulous here! 🙂

IMG_8644 copy IMG_8638These Kurt Geiger pair of sandals I’ve had in my wardrobe for well over a year, but I’ve never found a good time to wear them. In fact I had to peel the label of the back before I wore them for the shoot. That’s what happens when you have a child; your good shoes are relegated to the back of the wardrobe. I’m quite surprised that the sunflower theme is something that has cropped up again for spring/summer 2014. I’m thinking of a future shoot that will be sunflower themed, and these shoes are definitely going to make an appearance again.
