Magenta, fuchsia, cerise; whatever you call the colour it is one hot shade right now. Kinda matches this hot summer too. While spring and early summer was all about green, fuchsia seems to have taken over for the hot July month. We can’t be surprised. The spring/summer fashion month did warn us, but I feel that this colour kinda crept up on us out of nowhere. So, to do this colour justice I wore an entire outfit in this hot shade of pink.
It’s been a while since I’ve done a full one colour outfit, and I’m glad that it’s this potent shade. Fuchsia can be taken in small doses, but I’ve never been the wallflower type of person when it came to fashion.
The top and skirt are both from H&M and on sale right now I believe. I bought them just before the sale kicked in and paid full retail price, which kinda annoyed me that I missed out on the deal. I usually don’t wear one shoulder tops Like this, as I have very sloping shoulders, but it perfectly matched the skirt so it was bought. The skirt is amazing. It’s full and voluminous, actually has more in common with a sarong or wrap than a normal skirt. You wrap it around you and close with a button at the waist. But it meant that you can show some serious leg when walking in it.
The shoes are my Prada flame wedge sandals. I got them about half a year ago, and honestly I have no idea why but haven’t shown them off as much on the blog. I really must feature them more! The bag you see, my hubby bought for me ages ago. It’s the perfect turquoise colour to contrast with the hot pink of the rest of the outfit.
