When it comes to girl crushes, none reign more supreme than Blake Lively in my opinion. She is tall, leggy, blonde and breathtakingly beautiful and to top it all off she seems like such a lovely girl too. While all these qualities should make one hate her, I can’t help but stare at her images and love her more.
Like Aphrodite, who charmed the Greek gods and made them fall in love with her, Blake can seemingly do no harm.
So when the news came through the wire that, new BFFs Karl Lagerfeld and Blake Lively would be teaming up on a professional level, it came as no surprise to people in the fashion world. In fact, quite a few wondered why she hadn’t been snapped up by a major house before.
So here is the stunning new ad campaign for the Chanel Mademoiselle handbag range. Shot in Coco Chanel’s old apartment at 31 Rue Chambon in Paris, the dark lighting and demure poses is iconic of Karl Lagerfeld’s take on Chanel. While the lighting is a little too dark for my liking, especially for an actress as breathtaking as Blake, the finishes photos still look brilliant.
