Style the Trends: Ski Slopes

Some of these trends may seem a little scary and imposing when you intially see them on the runways. I’ve decided to create this series where I break down a trend from the runway and style them using high street items. And the kicker is, it needs to be affordable and under £150. Because we shouldn’t have to rely on ridiculously expensive items the whole time.

When this trend initially popped up on the runway it did look quite excessive, with the various layered items and over-the-top accessories. But at its heart, this trend is about comfy knitted jumpers, thick socks, heavy boots and being warm and cosy during the winter months. And the wonderful thing about the high street interpreting these trends, is that they’re not as excessive as the designer collections, and much more tame. For this outfit, the hero piece is the Weekday Argyll knitted jumper, paired with a tartan skirt and the leather welly boots. Below is an outfit I’ve curated, all for under £150 with items found on the high street. Happy shopping!

Total cost of the outfit is £146.
