The ‘Wow!’ Item – Bottega Veneta Padded Cassette Bag in Purple

So, what is a ‘Wow! item? It is that one piece that just makes you drool because of its beauty, uniqueness and sheer audacity at existing. The rules are it doesn’t just have to be impossible-to-attain designer; it just has to be ‘wow!’

Every month I’ll pick out a piece of accessories; whether they’re shoes, a bag, jewellery or anything else that falls into the category. That way we can all debate, drool and maybe make the world a little brighter by having a little dream.

This month my ‘Wow!’ item is impossibly hard to obtain and not just because it costs a couple of thousand pounds. It’s because it’s a limited edition Bottega Veneta padded Cassette bag in the most beautiful purple shade. And the reason it’s so hard to get is that it’s only sold at Le Bon Marché in Paris, and the store has no website, and is closed because of the Coronavirus. So cue the said violins for this one.

But no matter; lets just stare at this beauty that is so hard to find I can’t even find a stock image of the bag on Google. So we’ll just have to stare at Instagram influencer Leonie Hanne’s images who managed to snag one of these amazing bags.

Do you know how many pieces were made for sale? Can’t find online anywhere!

I have no idea. It was a special collaboration with Le Bob Marché in Paris and unfortunately they don’t have an online presence at all, so I haven’t been able to find versions of this online. You have to visit their Paris store to see it I imagine.
