The Shoot

The Shoot: Winter Florals at the Peace Pagoda

This is the much delayed post that believe it or not was shot back in October and meant to be published shortly afterwards! I guess blogging is not as easy when you’ve got a full-time job and a small child to raise.  But I absolutely loved these images and I really wanted to share them with you, so even though the Christmas party season is over and the dress in question is no longer in stores, I thought you might want to have a look at them.

This dress perfectly encapsulates this season’s love for winter florals. As we’ve been seeing for the last five years, digital prints are as big as ever, but this time they’re more subtle and often with a dark background. It’s what makes this dress stand out so much and for the regal feel I thought my accessories should match this style.

This shoot was done at the Peace Pagoda in Battersea Park, and while it appeared in the background of an older post of mine, I’ve always wanted to do a shoot here and never seemed to find the right time or outfit for it. I’m glad I finally plucked up the courage and just done a shoot here as it came out really well and I was lucky enough to bask in a very late Indian summer London was experiencing at the time. I hope you guys enjoy the pictures about as much as I enjoyed taking them. I’ve got one more outfit post to publish and that will be it for a while, at least until spring comes and we get longer days and better hours.
