Mix this season’s obsession with all things white and lace with heavy and dark accessories and throw in a bit of floral colour and what you get is an infusion of springtime colour and fun.
So I’m back with my second shoot and I’ve returned to the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park to avail of the beautiful landscape once again. This has been one of my goals for the blog for 2016; to return to locations I shot at before if I felt it had been under-used the first time around.
So when I done a shoot here last May I done it with my son in tow at something like 11 am on a Saturday ad it was packed. As a result there were far too many people around and I really couldn’t get any of the shots I wanted. This time I was determined to go when there wasn’t another soul around and that happened to be at about 5.30 am. Thank God for dawn being so early in the summer!
The styling of the shoot evolved around this absolutely amazing Glamorous dress that reminded me so much of the Chloé white lace appliqué dresses from spring/summer 2014 and I just knew I had to shoot it. As gorgeous as the top of the dress was, the skirt was a bit lacking for me, so I paired it with this lovely geometric white skirt from New Look.
To mix things up I decided to style it with this amazing ASOS matador hat, heavy silver jewellery and black leather ankle boots. The end result is this rather racy and girlish white lace outfit teamed with this heavy and edgy black and silver accessories. I like the end results and God knows I love mixing styles and themes in my shoots.
Have a look at the images below and let me know what you think. Did I finally do the location justice?
