Hello my far too loyal followers!
It’s been a while, eh? Two years to be exact and I’m surprised I still have followers and visitors to this blog, but I’m eternally grateful. So you’re probably wondering where I’ve been for the last two years. Well I had a child, got engaged and moved into a new house, though not in that order. It’s been a busy two years to say the least and now feels like the right time to come back to my blog. I never forgot about it, but you don’t really feel like posing for photographs when you feel like you’re the size of a whale.
Let me begin from the start. When I first found out I was pregnant, I decided to take some time to myself to just enjoy the pregnancy and all the new challenges that were coming my way. To be honest, I didn’t think anyone would want to hear fashion advice of see a ‘Look of the Day’ of a pregnant woman, though I do imagine there’s a market out there. I basically retreated from the online world and became a bit of an online recluse. I barely touched Facebook, all but abandoned Instagram, my blog and twitter to just enjoy this precious moment. Then when my son, whose called Davey, was born I didn’t have the time to deal with fashion and I lived in a pair of boyfriend jeans and assorted t-shirts for about 6 months while I cared for my precious angel. It took me another half a year to become comfortable again to go online, restart my blog and hopefully look slim enough that I don’t look silly in photos.
In the time in between that my absolutely wonderful other half asked me to marry him, and it seemed such a natural thing to get engaged after the birth of our son. There’s no date set for the wedding yet, and I don’t see us actually getting around to planning one for another while. I can’t be bothered to post the engagement ring here right now, but I’m sure you’ll see it pop up in future shoots as I really can’t bring myself to take it off, even for a photo shoot.
So with a new addition to the family, a new home, and a relatively new aspect to our relationship I come back to you guys. It’ll be interesting to see how I do photo shoots now that I’m a mother. Will I be more conservative, or will I wait a while and be like Beyoncé and become even more proud of my figure. I’m hoping for the latter, but we’ll see.
Until the next time, when normal service will resume. 🙂
Have a good day!
Franzi
