Behind the Scenes: Irish Tatler July editorial shoot

Hello world,

On Wednesday I assisted in the latest editorial shoot for Irish Tatler, for the July issue. This shoot was the first time in a while that we done a swimwear shoot, so it was quite exciting, but very stressful.

Firstly the ash cloud from Iceland had to hit again, and delayed our model for a couple of hours. Thank God she was only flying in from London, or else it could have been a whole lot worse.

Secondly some of the designer samples never came in, leaving us a bit short for swimwear and then to top it off we had to leave the shoot for an hour to pick up the props and tropical leaves.

The shoot was photographed by Barry McCall and Sarah Rickard styled it again for Irish Tatler. I love working with both of them, so it was a blast. A very long day, since we didn’t finish until 8pm, but an absolute blast. The model Charlotte was mad and kept singing the song Copacabana to herself all day. Since the theme of the shoot was printed swimwear and a general tropical poolside feel, her choice in songs was rather apt.

Unfortunately I can’t show you the photos itself, so these behind the scenes snaps will have to do.
