London Fashion Week The Shoot

The Shoot: London Fashion Week Day 2

London Fashion Week has come and almost gone, and I spent half of the time sick. Urgh, I do hate February! Friday and Saturday had me suffering from a severe migraine, which is weird since I’ve never had a migraine before. Friday was worse, so absolutely no evening parties or anything. Thankfully it was somewhat better when I woke up Saturday morning, so I was able to get this shoot done. Unfortunately that’s about all I had time for (along with a quick glance at the Brave New Worlds exhibition at Somerset House), before I had to give up on LFW and just go home.

So, as you can imagine, I’d planned my outfit for fashion week, or at least the Saturday one for quite a while. I knew from about the start of January that it had to be neon. It’s not only the hot new trend, it’s also my new favourite obsession, along with my new Chloé bag. Then again anyone who reads this blog for any length of time, knows how much I love bright colours, so it really shouldn’t be a surprise that the brightest colours around would have me going gaga.

The outfit is made up of this beautiful Zara neon duster coat, an accompanying Zara pink neon sweater and a neon yellow turtleneck bodysuit underneath. I came across the idea of layering up my neon jumpers by pure accident, while planning a shoot for the Canary wharf winter lights that had to be abandoned because of technical issues.

I loved the idea so much, I incorporated it into my fashion week outfit. I paired it with a black wrap skirt, that is actually a wrap dress underneath to help balance all the neon colours. The final touches to the outfit are my new pink Prada flame sandals (that are on sale at Net-a-porter!!!!) and my new Chloé Nile Minaudière, that I picked up a few months ago (an early anniversary/Christmas pressie from my other half). I know the bag was the IT-bag like two seasons ago, but I only just recently discovered it, and loved it no matter what.

In regards to beauty, I just wore my hair in a simple middle parting with lots of hair clips at the side to keep it out of my face. I wore my usual make-up with the main emphasis being on the neon coloured eyeliners in pink and yellow to help cement the look. They were NXY Vivid Brights eyeliner.
