I have a thing for the colour red. It’s bold, vibrant, passionate and never dull. I can’t help but be drawn to those qualities in a colour and the emotions it conveys; whether it’s anger at its strongest, pure love or just the colour of blood and life. The colour red is one of the most prominent colours I wear.
So in a way it was inevitable that I’d do another shoot where the dominant colour, if not the only one, was red. I’m a bit predictable that way, and the colour red always demands a grand setting and more effort than usual.
So, this is me going back to one of my favourite styles; an all-red outfit (usually a dress), lots of beautiful accessories, a haughty pose and a suitably majestic setting and backdrop to offset it all.
That’s where this new series called The Scarlet Woman comes in. They are a series of images, set in some of the grander landscapes of London, where I show off a plethora of red outfits. Some are strict and serious, others more fun and some I’m even pulling silly facial features. They were all produced with care and love, because as vibrant and passionate as the colour red is; whenever I do a shoot with it, it always receives the most care.
