When you live in a big city and you can’t necessarily go to the beach, there’s no other option than for the beach to come to you. It’s a dilemma many Londoners face every summer, but thankfully some pretty smart and enterprising businesses have realised this and the result is the rise of the urban beach. This is a trend that’s been growing in popularity for the last few years, and this year they opened up a Brazilian themed mini beach and food shack on the South Bank. Since the Olympics kicked off last night, what better way to celebrate all things Brazilian than to feature a shoot done at our very own Copacabana beach.
The outfit was chosen with this beach feel in mind and it’s an ode to Tommy Hilfiger’s spring/summer 2016 collection featuring the Jamaican island theme. I changed the colours a bit and kept it brighter, by wearing a long white crochet knit dress under the multi-coloured knit top. the outfit it finished off with a black jersey mini skirt under it all and bare feet and a large statement necklace. Honestly is more even needed?
Now all I need is a cold beer and some great street food…
