The Shoot

The Shoot: Summer Tropics

So this is the second shoot I done that gorgeous summer day in June at Hampstead Heath, and as you’ve probably guessed by now, it featured tropical prints. What can I say, I do love the print! so this dress is a bit of a find for me, because it was by pure coincidence that I spotted this dress in Primark, since I don’t really shop there anymore. After so many years in London and having to deal with the crowds and tourists in those stores, you somehow never want to set foot in one again. But I have to say it was worth it, for this cheap little baby. Not only is it flattering on my figure, but it only cost me £12. Though it was bought a while ago, I imagine a good root around in your local Primark store would turn it up. Those shops seem to have everything!

So let me know what you think of this shoot. It is a much simpler idea than last week’s post, and thankfully didn’t need the coordination of a small army to pull off! Not like some of my usual shoots. 🙂

Fresh out of college with an MA in Journalism, a passion for clothes, fashion and styling shoots, I was also the fashion editor of a magazine my colleagues and I set up called SCOPE magazine, which was disbanded three years ago. For now I'm just a freelance journalist and blogger.
Other than obsessing about fashion, I love theology and history, writing apocalyptic fiction (it's weird, I know!) and the occasional weeekend of horse-riding if I have the time and I don't injure myself in the process.
