The military trend in many ways is a staple of the autumn/winter trends. Every year it comes back in one form or another and this year the emphasis is on the colour khaki and a more utilitarian feel. Gone are the overt references to the uniform and instead we are left with a more utility-style trend. The emphasis is on comfortable clothes and a mixture of tough and delicate fabrics.
Generally I’m not a big fan of the military trend; I like my things feminine and usually in skirt form, but I enjoyed wearing such a masculine trend and still keep it feminine. It also gave me a chance to wear this cool Russian air force beret that a college friend gave me years ago.
I decided to focus on the colour khaki and to stop it from being too masculine I added a silk top in blushing pink to keep it soft. The gold jewellery is brash and gold, but then again this style isn’t for the wallflowers of the world. This is my own take on the military trend and I hope you like it.
