The Shoot

The Shoot: Purple Wisteria

Hello world,

As fashion bloggers know, we are often influenced by one another. Sometimes you might read a blog post and love the style of photos, how a pair of jeans is worn or even an entire outfit. Generally, I try not to recreate an outfit worn by a previous blogger as it doesn’t show a lot of creativity, but I spotted this Motel jumpsuit and red River Island hat combo on blogger Tuula Vintage and I just fell in love with it. I’d seen the hat in my local River Island shop for a few weeks now and while I liked the colour and shape, I didn’t have an idea on how I could style it.

I tried to do my take on the outfit a little differently; my focus was on the striking red of the hat and I completed the colour by adding red nails, my red enamel bracelet and these rings from H&M.  The last addition to the outfit is my trusty Chanel Grand Shopping Tote that I’ve fallen in love with all over again after having the bag languish in my closet for the last few years.

I’m in love with these rings from H&M. They are so cute and they look like cat ears!IMG_0497 IMG_0502 IMG_0519

Fresh out of college with an MA in Journalism, a passion for clothes, fashion and styling shoots, I was also the fashion editor of a magazine my colleagues and I set up called SCOPE magazine, which was disbanded three years ago. For now I'm just a freelance journalist and blogger.
Other than obsessing about fashion, I love theology and history, writing apocalyptic fiction (it's weird, I know!) and the occasional weeekend of horse-riding if I have the time and I don't injure myself in the process.
