My heart just stopped beating; Marni for H&M

Hello world,

I think H&M are out to give me an aneurism. Having just gotten over the wonder that is Versace for H&M (where let’s not forget we still get a pre-Spring collection in January), I am now treated to another designer collaboration. Is this brand amazing or what?

Marni has been a designer brand I’ve been quietly loving for a couple of seasons now. It feels like such a grown-up brand that is the polar opposite to Versace’s youthful garishness. Their shoes and bags have always been my particular favourite, so this news has got me all excited for spring again.

Not to mention this brand does swinging sixties prints so well!

As for the designer itself, here’s what she had to say on the collection. “I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints. As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colours, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic adding sporty utilitarian elements”. Consuelo Castiglioni, Founder and Creative Director.

Either way, March 8th could not come soon enough! Marni will create a men’s and ladies collection or H&M that will be available in 260 stores and online.

Until then,

Fresh out of college with an MA in Journalism, a passion for clothes, fashion and styling shoots, I was also the fashion editor of a magazine my colleagues and I set up called SCOPE magazine, which was disbanded three years ago. For now I'm just a freelance journalist and blogger.
Other than obsessing about fashion, I love theology and history, writing apocalyptic fiction (it's weird, I know!) and the occasional weeekend of horse-riding if I have the time and I don't injure myself in the process.

I like Marni’s clothes, though you do have to steer between the rack items to find something good.
Can’t wait for it anyway, especially their printed shirts.
