Hello world,
I’ve fallen in love with a dress. Now it’s not the first time I’ve said this and knowing me it won’t be the last time either.
Here is the offender in question.

Last season Stella gave us fruit prints (with a little help of Miuccia Prada, of course) and this season she gave us spots. Both of which I covet so much people will start throwing one of the ten commandments at me.
So what’s a girl to do when the dress costs over a thousand pounds? Why make it herself of course!

That in itself might be an ambitious project, even for me. I’m still a beginner in the world of sewing and the fact that my sewing machine is still in Ireland doesn’t help much either, and I doubt I could convince my mum to make it for me (What do you say Mam?)
But I’m determined to have this dress, so I will either have to rent a sewing machine or pay the extortionate prices to have mine shipped over.
Then there’s also the issue of finding black mesh material with spots on then, but I reckon I could just buy standard mesh and sew the spots on by hand. It might take forever, but it would be better than compromising on crappy fabrics or the design.
I’ll keep you updated as I go along.
Until then,
Franzi

Similar dress!x
It is totally do-able, go for it!! I’ve noticed a lot of polka dot fabrics out right now, I think if you really went searching for it, you could find something really similar. I’ve had my eye on this dress, too. I don’t blame you for wanting one.
I know maybe is a little bit late, (or is better late than never?) but I’ve just found today at Primark in Oxford St. an amazing replica of that dress for only 10 pounds! It wasn’t on sale, it was its original price!
I wanted the McCartney one as well… so when I saw this today I was impressed. Is really nice! Maybe you want to have a look… before they’re gone!
I love your blog,
Silvi
