The Christmas Issue The Shoot

The Editorial Shoot: Hampton Court Palace Privy Garden

For the third and final outfit of the editorial shoot for The Christmas Issue, I decided to not do another dress or skirt concept. Instead, I went for a cropped blazer and shorts combo with knee-high boots to give the shoot a more obvious militaristic feel to it. The inspiration for this outfit was the drummer boy from a regiment, with a high collar shirt, a smart blazer and high boots. Not everyone will want to wear elaborate or girly dresses over the party season, so showing an alternative option was a high priority for me.

The outfit is quite simple, with minimal accessories; in fact I wanted the outfit to do the talking for this one.

The location is also the Privy Gardens in Hampton Court, which was the perfect setting for this elaborate editorial shoot.

This outfit is perfect for those who don’t want to dress up in skirts, but still feel smart and sexy for the season.
