The Shoot

The Shoot: A Christmas Editorial, part 2

Though you can’t tell from the looks on my face, but shooting this editorial with Christmas decorations and wearing party wear was actually loads of fun! Here I’m messing around with a Christmas tree star, pretending to be the tree itself, while wrapped up in tinsel. I’m usually laughing and hyper during shoots, but as soon as the camera is on and starts clicking I go all serious-looking.

Now let’s move on to the outfit. The dress is from River Island and I spotted it first on a fellow blogger, so you know I had to have it. 😋 The dress is now on sale, so definitely an amazing time to go and pick it up! To make it festive, yet still fashion I just basically layered it with almost every gold bracelet or bangle I had, because there’s no such thing as soo much jewellery around Christmas. 😂

The booties/fishnet heels are actually Public Desire from a few months ago, but PrettyLittleThing actually brought out the exact same ones (probably bought from the same suppliers, or made in the same warehouse), so you can totally get them again. If I’d have known I could get them again, I would have waited as I bought the last pair on the website and they’re a size too small. Ouch! But as they say fashion is painful so I squeeze into them every time.

The last one I wanted to mention was my nails! I’ve become obsessed with stick-on nails because they’re so cheap and easy to do, take like 15 minutes max and last for over a week. I only ever buy Primark, because they’re cheap and easy to replace, but they have the largest range of colours and styles you’ll ever see. And since some of them only cost £1, I recently went and bought like 30 different sets so that’s been my latest obsession. I must stick a picture of them up on my Instagram. So if you’re interested, keep your eyes peeled there. 😊

Eight years in, and still killing this fashion game. Now a mother, wife, professional-by-day and part-time blogger in between, I still love blogging, producing fashion shoots and curating this blog.
My interests lie in producing high editorial-style content, shooting in grand and unique locations, make-up shoots and doing more studio shoots that really push the boundaries.
I'm open to collaborations and ideas, so please message me.
