The Shoot

The Shoot: Chiswick House

So in case you’ve been living under a rock for the last few months, you’re probably aware that suede has been a major trend in the collections and all over the high street. To be honest, it’s a bit of a new one for me. Leather is always popular as are velvet and silks, but as a fabric, suede hasn’t seen that kind of popularity over the last few years. So in a way it’s kinda cool that it’s back in fashion and just pays homage to the seventies all over again.

I was mad to do this trend for quite a while and I was waiting on a H&M skirt to hit the stores for months, but somehow I completely missed it. Instead, Missguided provided such a great alternative, almost my entire outfit ended up from them. In a way, I’m glad the outfit for this shoot turned out the way it did, because it wasn’t just the typical seventies outfit. I’m definitely a fan of bodycon and because of my body shape it suits me better than many other styles, so it’s always a safe option to go with.

I also tried out a new brand for accessories, Accessoryo, and I kinda like these sunglasses. They’re not my usual style but they really grew on me, plus the price couldn’t be beat. Finally the clutch is from New Look and such a fun little thing for the summer. I’m really loving their clutches this season as they have everything from watermelons, ice cream lollies, pieces of fruit and other fun items. I like it, as it adds a touch of playfulness to every outfit.

Pity the weather on the day of this shoot couldn’t live up to the outfit, as it continued drizzling throughout the entire shoot, but that’s what you get when you live in good olde Blighty. 🙂
