The September Issue 2021

Hi everyone!

It’s been a while since we’ve had one of these, isn’t it? With the way this is going, I should probably stop calling it an annual event, since there was no ‘The September Issue’ for 2020, but I think we can all be in agreement it would probably not have been a good idea, what with the world in the state it was. 

But this is the year 2021, and optimism is the key word for this year. And we do have a lot more to be hopeful of; the opening of the world, the easing of restrictions, hopefully less death and doom and that’s worth celebrating.  Much like the societies of 1920 slowly woke up after the horror of World War 1 and the Spanish Flu pandemic, we are realising how lucky we are, and how optimism prevails. We are entering our own roaring twenties. So, in a way it shouldn’t be surprising in the slightest that the 1920’s was a key trend I highlighted this autumn/winter season. Because everyone is looking for a party and looking back through past eras for inspiration.
