I remember when I first moved to London how absolutely fascinated I was by the history of the city, but most of all by the history of the London underground. By now it’s over 150 years old, and the cool thing about it, is that there are stations and sections …
Hello world, Most of the shoots on this blog take meticulous planning, at least an hour or two of shooting and plenty of post-production work. You end up taking something close to 300 pictures but only use eight. Shoots are exhausting and arduous, but once in a blue moon everything …
This is by far the best ‘Look of the Day’ I’ve ever done for this blog and it came across by pure accident. We had done the Baker Street shoot the night before, I was feeling pretty poorly and while those images weren’t the best, these ones came out fantastic. I love it when I barely have to do any photoshopping on them afterwards. The lighting was perfect, the camera worked brilliantly and even the cheers and usual catcalls I get when shooting on such a public place didn’t distract me.
This is my take on the metallic theme that we see every Christmas period. I tried to stay away from the overt sequins and metallic feel and go for something more subtle. With the stark grey architecture and metallic pieces at Westminster station, I thought it would be the perfect complement.

Ever since my very first day in London, when I accidentally discovered the old section of Baker Street tube station, I have been in love with this slice of Edwardian London. Every time I walk through the archways with the clock above, I think of London a hundred years ago and I knew I had to do a ‘Look of the Day’ shoot here.
Since it feels so vintage, I thought, what better than to channel the forties trend we’re seeing on the high street now, only with bold colours. Annoyingly the day that we done this shoot, they had shut that section of the station, so we could only do the atrium part. Still, it could have been a whole lot worse.
It’s funny looking back on those photos, as I was just getting sick that day and my boyfriend was threatening me with calling off the shoot all day unless I take it easy. Thank God I don’t look as sick as I felt. Ah the wonders of make-up!
Let me know what you think, and as always the information for what I was wearing is below.

I haven’t done a series of shoots yet this year. To be honest, I haven’t done a lot for this blog this year. It’s been a crazy year, what with moving house, work getting even more stressful and taking up other activities such as rugby in my spare time. It …
